Masterclass: Education for socio-ecological transformation? (Dr. Johanna weselek)

The masterclass is about education and educational appeals for shaping a socio-ecological transformation. Central to this are various issues of social inequality that have often been neglected in the sustainability discourse to date. Questions of justice are discussed in terms of how social change could be organised with regard to a socio-ecological transformation. What do current opportunities for participation look like? How can learners participate in shaping a more sustainable future? An examination of emotions in the context of sustainability is also planned, particularly with regard to the question of how positive images of the future can be discussed and shaped in educational settings.  In addition to familiarising themselves with various didactic methods of education for sustainable development, the doctoral students will have the opportunity to contribute and present their own empirical material.
