Workshop: “Literature and Environmental Justice in Africa: New Directions” By Prof. Dr. Sule Egya

On May 22nd, visiting guest scholar Prof. Dr. Sule Emmanuel Egya is holding a Workshop on Environmental Justice in Africa.

The workshop focuses on emerging trends in scholarship on African literature concerned with environmental justice. Attention would be on historical and theoretical issues centering on environmental governance, coloniality, Afrofuturism, resistance, genre, and form. Textual references would be drawn from contemporary poetry, drama, and fiction.
