Junior Research Group – Call for Expressions of Interest
Are you passionate about Environmental Humanities and the ecological transformation of society? Are you a postdoc (2-5 years past PhD) ready to inspire emerging scholars and lead your own research group? Then this call for expression of interest might be for you.
In the context of its Elite Network Bavaria Program, the Bavarian Ministry for Science and Art is calling for proposals for Junior Research Groups (1 PI and 1-2 doctoral students) for the duration of six years. It is a two-stage process and first drafts are due April 27, 2022. Projects need to be set in collaboration with and in the context of one of the ministry’s programs of the Elite Network Bavaria (e.g. our IDK).
Interested? The International Doctorate Program (IDK) Um(Welt)Denken. Rethinking Environment. The Environmental Humanities and the Ecological Transformation of Society (joint endeavor by the University of Augsburg and the Rachel Carson Center at LMU) is ready to support your proposal! Please reach out to us with your CV and a three-page project proposal that (1) sketches your idea for the research group and (2) explains how it links with our IDK Um(Welt)Denken. Rethinking Environment. If you have questions, please direct them to the two speakers of the IDK, Matthias Schmidt matthias.schmidt@geo.uni-augsburg.de and Simone Müller simone.mueller@rcc.lmu.de.
Please send your expressions of interest by February 28, 2022 to twelbeck.idk@wzu.uni-augsburg.de.
Conversations about a possible collaboration are scheduled on March 3-4, 2022.
