PhD student Anne-Sophie Balzer is researching glaciers in contemporary poetry. However, she has never stood on a glacier herself. In the summer of 2022, she travelled to Norway to visit Europe’s largest continental glacier, Jostedalsbreen. Following her trip, she published an article about her experiences in a national German daily newspaper (taz). It is the story of two archives meeting one another. You can find the whole article here.
