Anna-Sophie Springer

Anna-Sophie Springer, PhD is a cultural theorist, educator, curator, and publisher whose work weaves artistic practice, environmental humanities, and the histories of science and collecting. She is the co-founder and director of K. Verlag, an award-winning publishing atelier in Berlin that develops books as multidimensional sites of collective thinking. She is also the Principal Co-Investigator, with Dr. Etienne Turpin, of Reassembling the Natural, an international exhibition-led inquiry on the role of natural history collections in the Anthropocene, co-editor of Fantasies of the Library (MIT Press, 2016), the intercalations: paginated exhibition and Processing Process series, and co-author of Productions of Nature (Open Humanities Press, forthcomng 2025). She holds a Ph.D. from the Centre for Research Architecture, Goldsmiths, University of London, and from 2023 to 2025 was Professor of Transformation Design at HBK Braunschweig University of the Arts.
