To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour We are led to Believe a Lie When we see not Thro the Eye” - William Blake
After teacher training for elementary school and a master’s in environmental Ethics I am interested in ways of mediating environmental protection. Conveying education in an interesting and realistic way is also part of my work in a pupils’ laboratory and a project that deals with improving digital teaching.
I would therefore like to explore approaches that make people aware of the value of nature. As I spend a lot of my free time in the mountains, alpine landscapes are an area that particularly interests me. The beauty and grandeur of the mountains, which is generally recognised, seems to be a good starting point for initiating nature conservation in a different way. In the context of alpine landscapes, I therefore focus on aesthetic values with the aim of attributing a kind of objectivity to them.

Is there a way to define aesthetic values in nature as intrinsic values, despite their anthropocentric origins? Can an awareness of aesthetic values be developed or trained, thereby encouraging behaviour that preserves nature?
Objective aesthetic values in nature as a motivation for nature-preserving behaviour based on the example of Alpine landscapes
