Laura Grötsch
I studied Social Sciences with a minor in Psychology at the University of Augsburg. During my studies, I focused intensively on European Politics, Environmental Policy, and Gender Studies. In my bachelor’s thesis, I examined the gender of robots in science fiction films. This analysis made it clear to me how important it is to critically question societal norms and their representation in the media.
Given my interest in interdisciplinary issues and Europe, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary European Studies, where I aim to connect the social, political, philological, and historical dimensions of Europe with a particular focus on ecological challenges. My master’s program allows me to deepen my strong interest in environmental and ecological issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. For this reason, I am pleased to have been supporting the International Doctoral College (IDK) as a program assistant since September 2024.
