Michael John Gorman
I come from a background in Science, Technology and Society and History of Science, which I taught at Stanford University. As founder of the Science Gallery in Dublin I developed a number of transdisciplinary spaces focused on creative collisions between science and art. My main current focus is on the establishment of BIOTOPIA as a transdisciplinary museum and public platform for science and environmental communication. I am also a founder member of the Munich Science Communication Lab, focused on the topic of Communicating Planetary Health. I have published books on topics ranging from Flemish painting and Jesuit natural philosophy to the architecture and environmental ideas of Buckminster Fuller.
After resuming my new position as Director of the MIT Museum in Massachussetts, USA, I unfortunately cannot serve any longer as PhD supervisor in this program.
