Review: Green Hour: “Towards the Wetland Humanities” (Dr. Paolo Gruppuso)

Environmental anthropologist Paolo Gruppuso shared his research on wetlands during the newly established “Green Hour” at the Environmental Science Center (WZU) at Augsburg University. During his presentation he gave fascinating insights into the history of “wetlands” in his native Italy and elsewhere and explained how the concept reflects political, economic, and ecological concerns. By defining wetlands as communities of care, he opened up new pathways of analysis in wetland research.
